SPC (Stone Polymer Composite) is a rigid-core flooring material made from limestone powder and polymers. It is known for its high dimensional stability, water resistance, and durability, making it ideal for both residential and commercial spaces and, especially, for technical stair treads.
Composition
• Wear layer resistant to abrasion.
• Decorative design layer (wood/stone).
• Rigid SPC core (limestone + polymers).
• Stable, quiet backing (depending on system).
Main advantages
• 100% water-resistant and tolerant to temperature changes.
• High impact and wear resistance.
• Fast installation (click or glue-down depending on project).
• Low maintenance and easy cleaning.
• Superior stability versus traditional vinyl.
Applications
SPC is used in floors and stair cladding thanks to its rigidity and stability, enabling solutions such as Straight, Gradone, Reinforced, or Inclined treads, with homogeneous and precise finishes.

Maintenance
Clean with a dust mop or soft vacuum. For spot cleaning, use a slightly damp cloth and neutral detergent. Avoid abrasive products or strong solvents.
• Total thickness: typically 4.0–6.5 mm (up to 8 mm in technical projects).
• Wear layer: 0.30 / 0.50 / 0.55 / 0.70 mm depending on requirements (residential to heavy commercial).
• Rigid SPC core: approx. 3.5–5.5 mm, high density and dimensional stability.
• Backing: may include IXPE/EVA underlay to improve acoustics and comfort.
• Plank: 1220 × 180–228 mm, 1520 × 230 mm (reference sizes).
• Tile: 600 × 300 mm, 900 × 450 mm (depending on collection).
• Thickness: 4.0–6.5 mm (others on request).
• Bevel: optional 4V micro-bevel depending on finish.
• Usage classes: 23 (heavy residential), 33 (heavy commercial), 42 (general industrial) — depending on each collection.
• Slip resistance: EN 13893 (class DS) or R9–R10 (depending on texture).
• Reaction to fire: Bfl-s1 (typical in SPC; see manufacturer certificate).
• Emissions: A+ category or equivalent (per manufacturer).
• Reference standards: EN ISO 10582 and EN 16511 (apply depending on product type and construction).
Note: exact values depend on brand and model. See official technical datasheet.
• Cutting and sizing: check squares and measurements; recommended tolerance ±0.5 mm for fine fit on treads and risers.
• Fixing: for stairs we recommend full-surface gluing (MS/PU adhesive) for treads, risers and trims. Avoid point fixings.
• Anti-slip: choose textures with higher coefficient and consider tapes or micro-textures on the edge if required.
• Trims: Straight, Gradone, Reinforced and Inclined solutions for different site conditions; matching riser for visual continuity.
• Joints and sealing: elastic color-matched sealant at junctions and perimeter; observe system expansion.
